- Quit all apps that require you to use the camera
- Open Terminal in Applications > Utilities folder
- Type 'sudo killall VDCAssistant' in the command strings and click Return

2. Reboot your Macbook:
If it still shows the same error after restarting, you can try rebooting your Macbook if you have the time. It's a bit inconvenient as it takes more time than usual, but it will get the job done.
3. Reset the System Management Controller to Fix 'No Attached Camera Problem':
If your battery is removable, you can reset it by shutting down your Macbook, take out the battery and charger, and hold the Power button for 5 seconds. Once your put back the battery and charger, power it up and check to see if that works.
